Romans 5:17 For if by one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
Receiving God’s abundant grace is for reigning in this life!
The more of God’s grace you receive, the more reigning you will do. If that is true how do you get this grace? Well, the above Scripture tells you – it comes through the One, Jesus Christ.
Grace is a Person, it’s not a doctrine and the grace of God comes through Jesus.
John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus.
This is why Christianity is unique and carries the power to set people free from fear and condemning thoughts, even from addictions and a lifestyle of making bad mistakes and decisions. Many of the world’s belief systems are governed by moral codes, rules, and laws – there is nothing necessarily wrong with many of them, they help to govern societies, preventing lawlessness. There’s only one problem, these moral laws, rules, and codes will never set a person free from drugs, pornography, addictions, anger, greed, selfishness, cancers and condemning mindsets.
But Christianity is not about following rules and regulations or a list of “do’s and don’ts” – it is a relationship with Jesus.
And Jesus is the One who revealed God’s Grace in its fullness upon the cross.
Grace is the favor of God. Specifically, it is the underserved, unmerited favor which means you do nothing to earn it. In every other relationship whether it’s with your parents, a teacher, an employer or an institution, for you to receive their favor, you have to do something to earn it. But with God, you don't do anything except believe in God’s Son – Jesus Christ.
What will God’s grace do for you? It will release God’s mercies to you and help you in your time of need!
Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Today as a Believer and follower of Jesus, every time you come before God you will only receive two things – mercy and grace. You will not receive judgment, condemnation, punishment, only mercy, and grace.
Every time you have failed and fallen and you are feeling so low and downcast, just turn to God and receive His mercies. He is forgiving and through His blood, you are always eternally righteous in His sight. He is merciful and will never turn you down. Whatever the need, God’s grace will help you.
If it's a health need you will find healing. If it's lack you will find provision. If it's loneliness you will find comfort. If it's worry you will find peace. If it's confusion you will find wisdom.
God will withhold no good thing from you as you turn to Him and find His grace!
