Matthew 26:28 …for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and His people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins many.
I’ve been a Believer for over 30 years but I recently received a fresh revelation of the blood of Jesus. I always knew the blood of Jesus was powerful and protects us from the lies, deception, and schemes of the devil, but I recently saw how the blood of Jesus also kills condemnation at its root!
The blood of Jesus was shed for the forgiveness of sins.
Once you have received a revelation of this truth, you will always come to the Heavenly Father with confidence. Even when you have sinned or fallen short of God’s ways, you will know that Jesus is the One who qualifies you before the Father and you will always receive mercy and find grace in your time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
It’s important to understand this truth about the blood of Jesus because the devil (the accuser, Revelation 12:10) will come at various times to make you feel guilty and condemned. He will remind you and prosecute you of every one of your failures with the goal of making you feel unworthy before God. He will call you a hypocrite, heaping condemnation upon condemnation. And he loves to see you responding and reacting with fear, worry, and sickness which all flow from the root of condemnation.
How do we kill condemnation at its root?
It’s through the blood of Jesus. Jesus Himself says “My blood confirms the covenant between God and His people. It is poured out to forgive sins”. There is not one sin, not any guilt and no amount of condemnation that the devil can throw at you today because Jesus' blood has completely, fully, permanently and mercifully removed them.
Hebrews 8:12 says that God will be merciful to your unrighteousness and remember your sins no more!
I recall hearing a story about a woman who was raised in South Africa and suffered sexual and physical abuse by her father and at the age of 13, her mother died in a car accident. She was placed into a children’s home and became entrenched in a lifestyle of drugs and promiscuity. In her adult life, she battled with depression.
Even when she was introduced to a church and received counseling over many years, she still couldn’t climb out of this dark place she was in.
Only when God showed her that the root of her issues was condemnation, did her situation begin to turn around. She was introduced to Pastor Joseph Prince’s teachings on grace and in particular, how condemnation is the root of the devil’s devices.
When she saw that through the grace of God and His righteousness, Jesus had set her free from all condemnation, guilt, and shame – a weight lifted from her physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Can you see how reigning in this life is not dependant on how “clean or condemnation free” your past life is, but how much you receive Jesus' grace and the gift of righteousness today. They will deal with all condemnation and guilt from your past and set you up to step into your freedom, healing, and breakthrough.
