Romans 5:19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
Here is the simple truth in this Scripture – Jesus is your righteousness, your obedience, your sanctification and your justification before God.
Have you ever read through some of the great promises of God, and thought, I don’t think I qualify for those because it says:
If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God (Deuteronomy 28:1-2).
Why can I say your breakthrough is not based on your obedience when the above scripture clearly says otherwise?
It’s because Jesus is the One who qualifies you to receive all these blessings and promises.
Let me give you another simple truth. No one was ever able to carefully follow all of God’s commands and to fully obey them. And here’s the revelation about the Old Testament Law: it was never given to make you holy or moral, it was given to reveal your sin and need for a Saviour!
Jesus our Saviour is the only Man who could fully obey God and keep all these commands required by Deuteronomy 28. Jesus kept them and then He went to the cross to redeem you from sin and purchase you back with His blood!
The good news for you today is all these blessings are not based on your ability to keep them - but on Jesus' ability and performance. Jesus qualifies you for every blessing and every promise. Your part is just believing and receiving!
As soon as you believe and receive this revelation that Jesus is the One who qualifies you for all of God’s blessings, that is going to release you from stress, fear, and condemnation that comes through your inability to keep all God’s commands.
No more stressing.
No more condemnation.
No more guilt.
No more trying to make yourself blessed through your own efforts.
You can now rest in your heart and in the knowledge that Jesus has blessed you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies (Ephesians 1:3).
In the original Greek text, spiritual blessing in Ephesians 1:3 is pneumatikos, meaning properties pertaining to the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit, your Helper is the One who will deliver these blessings into your life as you simply dwell upon the truth of what Jesus has done for you.
Believe today you qualify for every pneumatikos blessing, and you will find yourself enjoying the blessings of God, not based on your abilities and obedience, but upon the obedience of Christ and through the Spirit of God!
