Lay Hold of Jesus!

Church, what a powerful word we received this Sunday—one that both challenges and invites. We were reminded that Jesus didn’t go to the cross for us to live a life that is just good or fair—He paid for us to live in the fullness of God’s best. This is overflowing in the zoe life of the spirit!. And it’s not just for heaven—it’s for now.

Let’s reflect on five key revelations from the message:

Don’t Settle for Good When God Has Offered You His Best

Philippians 3:12 (NKJV) – “I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.”

It’s easy to settle for what looks reasonable, even fair. But in Christ, we are called to more. The price He paid was not for a life of striving, but for a life of fullness. Paul’s words remind us to lay hold of all that Jesus laid hold of us for—not out of performance, but out of revelation. You were not made for average. You were redeemed for overflow.

You Are Already Blessed with Every Spiritual Blessing

Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV) – “...who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”

We’re not asking God to give us something He hasn’t already given. The Word says it’s done. Peace, healing, wisdom, favour, provision—they’re already yours in Christ. Faith doesn’t twist God’s arm; it opens our eyes to what’s already ours.

God’s Best Is Unlimited and Irreversible

Numbers 23:20 (NKJV) – “He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.”

When God calls you blessed, nothing can unbless you—not the world, not people, not even your past. These blessings are permanent, rooted in Jesus’ finished work. The only limit is what we’re willing to believe. Open your heart wide—He will fill it.

What You Intimately Know—You’ll Walk In

Psalm 1:2–3 (NKJV) – “His delight is in the law of the Lord… whatever he does shall prosper.”

God’s best becomes real when we make His Word our daily bread. The more you meditate on what Jesus has done, the more you’ll start to see it manifest in your life. When His truth becomes your reality, His promises become your path.

Faith Unlocks the Fullness of the Abundant Life

Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV) – “...according to the power that works in us.”

The power is already in you—the Holy Spirit, the Word, the gift of faith. The question is, how much of Jesus’ finished work are you willing to lay hold of? Like the woman with the issue of blood, all she did was reach out—and she was healed. Jesus has already made Himself available. Reach out today.

Final Reflection

Every blessing, every promise, every breakthrough you could ever need has already been given to you in Christ. Let your heart be fully persuaded that you have been given the best of heaven: Jesus.

As you keep beholding Jesus, the Holy Spirit will cause what’s true in your spirit to manifest in your life. That’s living in God’s best. And that’s your portion—because you are the righteousness of God in Christ.
