We are new creations crowned with the Holy Spirit — not just to be changed, but to be sent. In this “Holy Spirit” series, we unpack the Spirit’s threefold work: with us (He convicts and reveals), in us (our new, holy nature), and upon us (power for mission).

Jesus told the disciples to wait for Spirit-empowerment because they needed His power to carry out Jesus’ mission. We are called to be disciples and make disciples, we too are called to receive the Spirit’s empowering — to be prepared and equipped. When the Holy Spirit comes upon us, we receive boldness, guidance, and gifts to accomplish the callings.
