Financial Faithfulness - Sunday 16 March 2025 Recap

Church, Jesus calls money "the least" in the Kingdom (Luke 16:10). Why? Because money is temporary, while true riches—favour, wisdom, and divine assignments—are eternal. Yet, how we handle money is a test that determines whether we can steward greater Kingdom riches.

This week, Pastor Wayne unpacked powerful truths about financial faithfulness, revealing that our ability to steward money determines our ability to handle true spiritual riches.

Five Key Takeaways from This Week’s Message

1. Prosperity is the Way of the Kingdom

Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favour my righteous cause; and let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” — Psalm 35:27

Prosperity is the way of the Kingdom, but it is not about accumulation—it is about faithful stewardship. God’s design is for increase, so that we have more than enough to fulfil our Kingdom assignments.

When we are faithful in stewarding what He gives, increase is inevitable. Some are called to minister with millions, while others require lesser amounts—but all are called to steward their resources with faithfulness.

Declaration:
Lord, I receive Your prosperity in every area of my life—spirit, soul, body, relationships, and finances!

2. Kingdom Blessing is Not Measured by Money Alone

God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us. That Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations. — Psalm 67:1-2

Money is the least in the Kingdom because it is temporary, while true riches—favour, wisdom, and divine assignments—are eternal.

True prosperity is measured by:

  • Favour of the Lord

  • Open doors

  • Wisdom and revelation

  • Kingdom strategies and insights

  • Divine assignments and callings

When we steward finances faithfully, God can entrust us with true spiritual wealth that impacts generations.

Declaration:
I walk in the favour of the Lord! His wisdom and calling in my life attract every resource I need!

3. Faithfulness in “What is Least” Determines Stewardship of True Riches

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? — Luke 16:10-11

If we are faithful in handling money—something temporary—God can trust us with true riches that have eternal value.

Money is a tool, but stewardship is a test. When we prioritise the Kingdom, we prove that our hearts are ready for greater assignments.

This is why tithing is foundational—it aligns our hearts with Kingdom priorities instead of being controlled by mammon.

Declaration:
Lord, I choose to be a faithful steward! I put You first and honour You in my finances!

4. The Greatest Use of Money is for the Gospel

The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. — Matthew 13:44

Money is a temporary resource, but when invested in the Gospel, it bears eternal fruit.

The world uses money for self-gain, but Kingdom wealth flows through sowing.

Money is a tool to:

  • Preach the Gospel of Grace

  • Fund missions and help the poor

  • Advance Kingdom assignments

As we fund the Gospel, we step into supernatural provision—where God supplies seed to the sower.

Declaration:
I honour the Lord with my resources! My finances are Kingdom tools to bring the Gospel to the world!

5. God is Your Source and Freely Gives You All Things

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? — Romans 8:32

If God did not withhold Jesus—the most valuable gift—He will not withhold anything else.

Everything we need for life and godliness has already been provided in Christ.

We don’t strive for supply; we position ourselves to receive.

Declaration:
God is my Source! I do not strive—I receive freely from His abundance!
